### What an organization is

<details>

<summary>What is an organization?</summary>

An organization is the workspace where a client's subscriptions, users, contacts, billing, and brand live. It is the unit you work on: every client you serve is an organization. We cover it in [What an organization is.](/docs-en/platform/organizations/concepts/what-it-is.md)

</details>

<details>

<summary>How is my organization different from my clients' organizations?</summary>

Yours is your company's, from which you operate. Your clients' are organizations you create and manage on their behalf, each with its own subscriptions and users. With a single account you can access them all.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I group several companies into the same organization?</summary>

The relationship is one-to-one: an organization corresponds to a single client company. Technically you could group several, but that is not recommended. You have the details in [The end customer and the partner brand.](/docs-en/platform/organizations/concepts/end-client-and-brand.md)

</details>

### Create and edit

<details>

<summary>Where do I create an organization from?</summary>

From two places: the button **New Client** in Organizations > My Clients, or **New > Organization** in the top bar. You fill in its details, add a contact, and accept the HDS certificate. The step-by-step guide is in [How to create an organization.](/docs-en/platform/organizations/how-to/how-to-create-an-organization.md)

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the HDS certificate I accept when creating it?</summary>

It is a mandatory terms and conditions acceptance to register the organization. You check the box during registration.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Which data can't I change after creating it?</summary>

The tax ID, country, and contact you provide during registration are associated with the organization and are later shown as reference, with no option to edit them. That's why it's worth reviewing them carefully before saving. The legal name and billing method can be edited later. You have the reference in [Profile](/docs-en/platform/organizations/detalles/profile.md).

</details>

### The organization panel

<details>

<summary>What is inside an organization panel?</summary>

Six sections: Subscriptions, Users, Customization, Profile, Contacts, and Events. Each one manages a part of that organization.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where do I manage its users and subscriptions?</summary>

Management is shared with your account, so it is documented once and linked. You have the setup and administration of users and subscriptions in the Account guides. What belongs to the organization are its permissions, in [How to assign permissions to a user.](/docs-en/platform/accounts/how-to/how-to-assign-user-permissions.md)

</details>

### Brand and end customer

<details>

<summary>Does the end customer see the Plenit brand?</summary>

No. You work in white label: the customer sees your brand, not ours. You customize two surfaces, the User Portal and the Administration Panel.&#x20;

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I use my own domain?</summary>

Yes. You specify your URL and, for it to work, create the CNAME record indicated by the panel. You can generate a certificate with Let's Encrypt or upload your own.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I send emails with my own identity?</summary>

In Customization you define the sending method and the appearance of the emails. To send them from your own account through our servers, SPF and DKIM must be enabled. We give you the instructions when you complete the form.

</details>

### Users and permissions

<details>

<summary>How do I control what each user can do?</summary>

From the user's Permissions tab: you decide whether they enter the panel, which sections of the organization they manage, which subscriptions they can access, and, if they are on your team, which partner operations they handle.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the difference between My organization permissions and Partner permissions?</summary>

The ones for **My organization** control access within the organization (its sections and its subscriptions). The ones for **Partner permissions** open the operations through which you serve your clients (General, Go to Market, and Migrations), and are for your team, not the end customer.&#x20;

</details>

### Administration

<details>

<summary>What happens if I block an organization?</summary>

Their access is restricted and their Status is updated to reflect it, but it remains in your list. You do it from the actions menu in its row.&#x20;

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I delete an organization?</summary>

From the actions menu or from its Profile, in the Delete organization block. You will have to type DELETE to confirm, have first canceled all its subscriptions, and be an administrator of the organization. It is irreversible.&#x20;

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I switch from one organization to another?</summary>

With the organization selector or with the Go to organization action in the list, which asks for confirmation because it changes the work context.

</details>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.plenit.com/docs-en/platform/organizations/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
