### Your account and organizations

<summary>What is the difference between my account and an organization?</summary>

Your account is your personal user account: your data, your access, and your security. An organization is the workspace where subscriptions, users, and billing live. Your user can belong to several organizations. We explain it in [Your account and your organization](/docs-en/platform/accounts/concepts/account-and-organization.md).

<summary>Why do I see Organizations in two places?</summary>

Because they serve different purposes. In **My Profile > Organizations** you can view, in read-only mode, the organizations you belong to. Organization management (creating, editing, or switching between them) lives in its own section. ### The dashboard

<summary>What do I find in Home?</summary>

Home is the global view of your activity: a **Summary** with your counters and the lists of **Subscriptions**, **Users** and **Events**, each with its own tabs. It is the starting point for day-to-day work. You have the details in [Home lists.](/docs-en/platform/accounts/details/lists.md)

<summary>What is the difference between the My and Clients tabs?</summary>

The tabs "My subscriptions," "My users," and similar ones show the resources of your own organization. The "clients'" tabs bring together the resources of your clients' organizations that you manage. ### Users and permissions

<summary>Can I create several users at once?</summary>

Yes. In addition to creating users individually, in **Home > Users** you have **Import users**: download the template, fill it in, and upload it to create them in bulk. We explain it in [How to create users.](/docs-en/platform/accounts/how-to/how-to-add-users.md)

<summary>What is the difference between deactivating and deleting a user?</summary>

Deactivating temporarily cuts off access, and you can reactivate it whenever you want; the user remains in the list. Deleting is permanent: the user is unsubscribed from all their services and cannot be undone.

<summary>How do I give a user access to only one service, without entering the dashboard?</summary>

With the **Dashboard access**permission: you can limit the user to a single service (for example, Remote Desktop) without allowing them to sign in to the admin dashboard.

### Passwords and security

<summary>How is a new user's password set?</summary>

When creating it, you choose from three options: keep the current one, force the user to set a new one at their next login, or enter one manually yourself.&#x20;

<summary>What is two-step verification and how is it enabled?</summary>

It is an extra layer of security at login: in addition to the password, a code from an authentication app such as Google Authenticator is requested.

<summary>What are security emails for?</summary>

They are backup addresses associated with your user account. They are used to recover access if you lose it and to receive notices related to your account security.&#x20;

### Subscriptions

<summary>How do I contract a new service?</summary>

In **Home > Subscriptions**, click **New subscription** and choose under **What do you want to contract?** the service you need; then follow its contracting flow. The details of each service are in its own documentation.&#x20;

<summary>What happens when I update a subscription?</summary>

Before applying the update, we check that it is feasible: the number of snapshots, the connection to the servers, and the software versions. During the process, the servers are restarted several times, so it is best to avoid connections until it finishes. T

<summary>How do I delete a subscription?</summary>

From its actions menu, in **Delete**. For security, you will have to type **DELETE** to confirm. It is an irreversible action: it deletes all associated data.

### Events

<summary>What is the event log for, and can I export it?</summary>

The log gives you traceability of what happens in your account and your subscriptions: logins, sign-ups, or errors. You can view it from My Profile or from Home, open the details of each event, and export it whenever you need to.
